Ethan Hunt has retired from active duty and is engaged to Julia, a nurse who knows nothing about his spy life. When a former trainee is captured, Ethan returns for one last mission. He learns that a dangerous arms dealer, Owen Davian, is trafficking a mysterious object called the Rabbit’s Foot, rumored to be a deadly bioweapon.
